Position Overview

Nu-Tech Freight Brokers is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials, ensuring safe handling of cargo, and maintaining compliance with transportation regulations. This role requires frequent and extended travel.

Requirements

• Language: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant work experience is considered an asset.
• Certificates/Licenses: A Class A license or the ability to obtain it.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
• Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Inspect vehicles and equipment (tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, etc.) for safety compliance
• Perform brake adjustments and preventive maintenance
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
• Relay trip details to central dispatch and maintain accurate records
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
• Ensure the safety and security of cargo during transport
