Salary: $24.00 hourly / 40 to 50 hours per week

Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment: Noisy, Outdoors, Dairy, Livestock

Work setting: Rural area, Remote location, Staff accommodation available, Staff accommodation provided

Job Duties

·         Diagnose livestock health issues, Monitoring animal health

·         Handling animals

·         Monitor the calving process

·         Organize tasks to accomplish the work

·         Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly

·         Treat livestock health issues

·         Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures

·         Negotiate with clients for provision of services

·         Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers

·         Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed

·         Formulate feeding program

·         Maintain quality control and production records

·         Hire and train staff

·         Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, Milking system (automated), Tractor, Forklift

.         Perform general farm duties
