Job Title: In-Home Support Worker/Caregiver for a Person with Medical Needs

Description: I am looking for an In-Home Support Worker/Caregiver who will assist me in a daily basis.

Employment groups: Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident (PR) of Canada, Youth, Visible minorities, Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada, Open Work Permit Holders, etc.

* Proof of Canadian immigration status (Permanent Resident (PR) / Canadian citizen) is required.

Job type: Full-time, 1-year Contract

Job begins on: September 1, 2026

Job ends on: September 1, 2027

Work location:  Saint-Laurent, Quebec, H4M 2B8, Canada

Transportation/Travel information: Public transportation is available and easily accessible

Accommodation available: AVAILABLE/OPTIONAL; at no charge on a live-in basis

Number of hours per week: 35 hours (minimum)

Hourly rate: $20CAD

Pay frequency: Weekly

Regular Days off: Tuesday & Friday

Work schedule: Flexible with work schedule, flexible start and finish time, available to work evenings, required to work on Saturday evenings

*May be required to work overtime

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Language: English or French

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate – Equivalent to Canadian secondary school (high school)

Experience: 1 year minimum paid work experience as an In-Home Support Worker/Caregiver for a Person with Medical Needs

Work site environment: Non-smoking

Personal suitability: flexible, proactive, have sound judgment, organized, reliable

Tasks:

• Administer medications

• Assist the client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene

• Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder)

• Feed or assist in feeding

• Launder clothing and household linens

• Mend clothing and linens

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

• Plan therapeutic diets and menus

• Provide companionship

• Provide personal care

• Shop for food and household supplies

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals

• Provide nursing care
