ASSISTANT MANAGER
Sukhi Bath Motors Inc. is a family-owned and operated premier retailer of pre-owned vehicles. Our dedicated sales staff and top-trained technicians are here to make your auto shopping experience fun, easy, and financially advantageous. We specialize in newer-year vehicles and take pride in ensuring that each car, truck, SUV, van, and commercial vehicle undergoes a thorough safety inspection and preventative maintenance.
We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position with flexible working hours to meet our business hours.
The Assistant Manager will be tasked with:
· Responsible for planning, operating, directing, controlling and evaluating the daily operation of Sukhi Bath Motors, throughout the different departments and a staff of 50+ employees.
· Implement or improve administrative procedures.
· Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
· Coordinate staff activity with different department managers to provide administrative and procedural support
· Oversee the office facility, including anything from physical space to maintenance issues, procurement of office supplies, and equipment, operating within the budget constraints.
· Provide support to the general manager and the CFO.
· Conduct interviews, hire personnel, and manage staff training.
· Respond to employees' questions and complaints. Resolve issues such as customers' requests or complaints.
· Assisting the CFO with financial oversight includes planning budgets and monitoring revenues and expenses.
Skills and qualifications:
· A university degree or college diploma in business, public administration, or a related field is required.
· A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
· Strong leadership and operational skills within an automotive dealership or motor vehicle repair shop environment
· Strong computer skills, including word processing software, inventory control software, electronic mail, spreadsheets, and MS Outlook.
· Automotive industry knowledge is considered an asset.
· Excellent command of English, both written and oral
• Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office
• Familiarity with a car dealer management system would be considered an asset.
Compensation: $45.00/hour – 30 hrs per week
Hours of work: Flexible, includes weekends and evenings.
