Responsibilities
Tasks
- Harvest seedlings
- Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants
- Plant bulbs and seeds
- Pot and re-pot plants
- Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
- Prepare soil, plant, seed, transplant, seedlings, and rooted cuttings.
- Protect young trees from the winter weather.
- Inspect plants for pests and treat them to avoid the disease to spread to other trees.
- Water small trees regularly ensuring that the soil is dry between each watering.
- Clean, maintain and store tools and equipment daily.
- Plant seedlings on the ground when they reach 6 in tall.
- Other general farm duties as assigned.
