We are looking for an experienced Chef De Partie for Sofia Restaurant & Bar location at 99 Yorkville Ave, Toronto, ON M5R 1C1, Canada.

No. of positions – 2

JOB DUTIES:

Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes for the assigned kitchen section using traditional techniques, recipes, and high-quality ingredients.
Execute Italian cooking methods specific to the station (e.g., pasta, antipasti, grill, or sauté), ensuring consistency in flavour, texture, and presentation.
Monitor seasoning, sauces, and finishing of Italian dishes to ensure alignment with Sofia’s culinary standards.
Supervise and guide cooks and kitchen staff within the assigned section to maintain quality and efficiency.
Ensure proper portioning, plating, and presentation of Italian dishes before service.
Participate in the execution of Italian menus, including regional specialties, seasonal offerings, and chef-driven features.
Monitor station inventory and assist with ordering Italian ingredients, fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and specialty items.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safe operation of kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
Support smooth kitchen operations during high-volume service periods to ensure timely and consistent Italian food service.
May perform other duties as reasonably assigned.

Prerequisites:

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the Food Industry.

Language: English

Hourly Rate: $36.00 to $38.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
