Hilton Garden Inn Halifax airport is looking for a frong desk agent to join our team.

Hotel offers an exciting opportunity for the candidate:
Wage: $16.75/hr
Hours: 30-40 hours per week
Benefits: Group benefit, medical benefits
Vacation: 4%
Term: Full-time / permanent position
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in hotel industry, preferably as a front desk person or night auditor
Education: high school diploma / hospitality mangement preferred

Duties:
Investigate complaints and claims
Register arriving guests and assign rooms
Process group arrivals and departures
Take, cancel and change room reservations
Provide information on hotel facilities and services
Provide general information about points of interest in the area
Process guests’ departures, calculate charges and receive payments
Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying)
Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
Assist clients/guests with special needs
Provide customer service

Required languages: English

Education level: High School Diploma
