Description
Magnum Millwork Inc. is now hiring an interior designer (NOC 52121)
We specialize in custom architectural design for commercial (restaurants, hospitals) and residential (kitchens, stairs, doors, baths) properties.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
Location of work: 5344 John Lucas Drive, Burlington, ON L7L 6A6
Salary: $36 per hour for at least 35 hours per week
Requirements:
– college level diploma (post-secondary training in the field) or equivalent experience
– at least 5 years of experience with ability to work independently
– experience with Mosaic software, 3D graphic software, AutoCAD and MS Excel
– valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
– Create interior spaces that reflect clients' needs and tastes
– Read blueprint, schemas and drawings
– Advise on selection of colours, finishes and materials, lighting, furniture and other items, taking into account ergonomic and occupational health standards
– Consult with clients to determine needs, preferences, safety requirements and purpose of space
– Develop detailed plans using Mosaiq and 3-D models showing arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting and other fixtures
– Develop plans, elevations, cross sections and detailed drawings
