Description
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager for Aramark located at 233 Logan Rd., Bridgewater, NS B4V 3T3, Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of housekeeping staff across all assigned areas.

Assign cleaning duties, prepare work schedules, and monitor task completion.

Report and document incidents, hazards, or non-compliance issues, and support corrective actions.

Schedule and assign daily work duties to custodial and housekeeping personnel, ensuring timely and accurate task completion.

Maintain a clean and orderly environment to promote safety, sanitation, and operational efficiency.

Clean assigned areas and ensure all work meets established Aramark and client quality standards.

Accurately clean, maintain, and ensure proper functioning of housekeeping and custodial equipment.

Follow established procedures for safe storage, handling, and disposal of waste; transport trash to designated areas.

Adhere to organizational procedures and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark safety regulations.

Secure the facility by ensuring proper lock and unlock procedures are followed and safeguard company assets.

Report maintenance issues through work order requests and coordinate follow-up with appropriate personnel.

Maintain records of inspections, inventory, training, and compliance documentation.

Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to support facility service needs.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Coordinate with food services teams to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, service stations, and related support spaces.

Support supervisory oversight in food service environments as needed, including monitoring hygiene standards, waste handling, and compliance with health and safety protocols.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more experience in hospitality

Previous custodial experience required

Previous experience of working in a food service operations would be considered an asset for future growth

Previous experience in a supervisory or related role preferred

Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision

Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals

Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers Adaptable to guest needs
-
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Language: English.
Hourly Rate: $20 per hour for 40 hours per week.
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full time and permanent
