Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team. This is an on-site position in a fast-paced restaurant, bar, and café environment.
Job Responsibilities
As a Cook, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes
- Determining portion sizes and food costs
- Planning menus and estimating food requirements
- Preparing meals for customers with allergies or dietary needs
- Preparing special meals for patients as directed
- Inspecting kitchen and food service areas
- Ordering supplies and equipment
- Training kitchen staff in food preparation and handling
- Supervising kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintaining inventory and kitchen records
- Cleaning kitchen and work areas
- Recruiting and hiring kitchen staff
- Managing overall kitchen operations
Requirements
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate OR Equivalent experience
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
- Language: English
- Work Setting: Restaurant, Bar, Café, On-site only (no remote work)
