Located on Halifax’s busy Quinpool corridor just minutes from downtown, Turbo Chicken is a fast-casual, halal concept known for craveable chicken, swift service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’re hiring a Restaurant Manager to lead daily execution, optimize speed and accuracy, and cultivate a guest-first culture. The ideal leader brings rigorous operations experience in high-volume environments, cost discipline, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Compensation and schedule
Wage: $30.30–$34.20 per hour, paid bi-weekly
Hours: 40-48 hours per week. Variable shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Overtime: As per Nova Scotia Labour Standards
Benefits: Holiday pay, Staff meals and discounts, Paid vacation

Job duties

 Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate day-to-day restaurant operations in a fast-casual, high-volume environment
 Lead and schedule a team of 10–20
 Recruit, onboard, train, and conduct performance conversations
 Manage labour planning and food cost to weekly targets; oversee ordering, inventory, waste, and cash controls
 Enforce halal handling, HACCP/food safety, sanitation, health inspection, and workplace safety compliance
 Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve service issues; manage delivery-app operations and reviews
 Coordinate equipment maintenance and vendor relationships; escalate service calls as required
 Prepare basic KPI and financial reports (labour, COGS, deposits, monthly inventory); execute promotions and limited-time offers

Requirements

 Education: University degree in hospitality or food and beverage service management (or closely related field)
 Experience: Minimum 5 years’ progressive supervisory/manager experience in restaurant/QSR or equivalent high-volume setting
 Credentials: Food Handler Certificate (or obtained within 60 days); WHMIS an asset
 Technical: Proficiency with POS systems, delivery platforms, and spreadsheets
 Work conditions: Fast-paced environment; standing for extended periods; lifting up to 20kg
 Personal suitability: Leadership, problem solving, client focus, reliability, attention to detail
