Job Description:

•            Poultry hangers carefully remove the live poultry from the crates and place them upside down on moving shackles, which begins the slaughter process.

•            Ensures all animal welfare protocols are conducted

•            Place empty bird crates into the machine for washing

•            Load and ensure the full crates move on the conveyor belt

•            Spray washes the facilities to ensure cleanliness

Requirements:

•            Education: Not Required.

•            Experience: Experience is an asset. Training will be provided on-site

•            Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-Paced, must be able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, push and pull for a long period of time

•            Worksite environment: Indoors with normal temperature

•            Personal Suitability: Organized, Flexible, Team player, Reliability.

•            Weight handling: Up to 50lbs 

Additional requirements:

•            Function is under repetitive movement of certain parts of the palms, fingers, wrist, hand, lower arm, upper arm, shoulder, and back movements, while bending the top half of the body over for prolonged periods of time.

•            Remain drug and alcohol-free to perform in a safety-sensitive functional position.

Salary: $20.80 hourly, 40 hours per week. Overtime work may be available.

Important Information: This position will require working 8 hours per day. The hours of work will depend on variable factors such as flock size and team members in attendance. Rural area, remote location.
