Description
Our restaurant is located in Metrotown and fully serves Traditional Korean cuisine. Now we are looking for experienced chefs willing to become our valued team members!
Employer: Gamsa Enterprises Ltd. (o/a 88 Town)
Position: 3 Full-time Cooks
Working Location: 5640 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC. V5H 2G5
Wage: $19.00 ~ $22.00 per hour and 4% of the gross income for paid vacation per year.
Work Hours: 30~40 hours per week.
Start date of Employment: ASAP
Responsibilities
– Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items.
– Prepare high-quality meals and food items according to the restaurant’s recipes
– Cook complete meals in various utensils or grillers
– Ensure that food portions meet the restaurant’s standards.
– Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
– Monitor supplies and re-ordering stock as needed.
– Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
– Clean kitchen and work areas.
– Train kitchen staff in preparation.
Requirements
– Education: secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
– Experience: 2 years or more of commercial cooking and food preparation experience. Or a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks.
– A diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage.
– Effective communication skills.
– Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
– Ability to follow recipes.
