Skills Requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary/high school graduation certificate
- Work experience: 1 month to less than 7 months of experience as a cashier or retail Store Supervisor is required.
Job Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cashiers, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in both the gas station and convenience store sections
- Assign duties and create work schedules for cashiers to ensure optimal staffing levels during all business hours, supporting continuous customer service and store coverage
- Authorize customer payments, process returns, and ensure compliance with store policies for accurate financial transactions and customer satisfaction
- Resolve operational issues, such as customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, to maintain service quality and store efficiency
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of gas, diesel and propane and order merchandise, including snacks, beverages, groceries, tobacco products, pre-made food items (e.g., sandwiches, subs, burgers), and ice cream to ensure product availability
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising effectiveness, and personnel performance to support store management and decision-making
- Hire, train, or arrange for the training of new cashiers, and monitor their performance to ensure adherence to store procedures and service standards
- Maintain the visual standards and overall image of the store, including product displays, signage, and cleanliness, to create an inviting shopping environment
- Support the team by performing cashier duties when necessary to maintain service levels
- Perform key holding and managerial duties when required, such as opening and closing the store, managing escalated complaints, developing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries
