Title of position: Welder

Number of Positions: 3

Starting Immediately

Terms of Employment: Full time year round 

Wage: 28.85 Hourly

Hours (each week): 32

Language Requirements: English 

Job Duties:

Read and interpret work orders

Operate metal cleaning equipment such as blasters and grinders to fix and remove excess welds, rust, scale and other material from surfaces of metal parts, castings and other metal products

Assist with manufacturing of farm equipment and assembly using power and hand tools as well as mig welder and CNC plasma cutting table

Assist sheet metal workers, metalworking machine operators or other metal workers

Transport raw materials and finished metal products manually or using hoists or other devices

Sort metal raw materials, parts, scrap metal and other materials

Clean work areas and equipment routinely

Load and unload vehicles using a hand truck or dolly

May cut, grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.

May perform finishing tasks such as painting and assembling finished products

Job Requirements:

Be fit for duty and prepared for work each day.

Positive attitude/team player

Strong communication/listening skills and ability to follow direction

Knowledge of Welding

General site housekeeping

Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.

Actively participate in all safety meetings

Work Experience:

Some welding experience is required 

Education:

Some secondary is required
