Nature of Employment: We are presently looking to fill a permanent, full-time position at our new Toronto location at 107 Parkway Forest Drive, North York, Ontario M2J 1L8.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: $22.00 per hour

Benefits: 4% Vacation Pay

Job Summary:

The Retail Sales Supervisor is responsible for supervising Iqbal Halal Foods employees and monitoring our new Toronto location’s store operations on a day-to-day basis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assign work duties and supervise Iqbal Halal Foods employees;
• Assist in preparing the weekly work schedule;
• Train new employees on company policies and procedures, customer service guidelines, and health and safety regulations;
• Monitor aisle inventory levels and coordinate with the receiving department when aisle inventory falls below pre-determined levels;
• Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages;
• Ensure that merchandise is correctly priced and displayed;
• Assess employee performance and provide feedback to Iqbal Halal Foods managers; and
• Assist employees with the everyday duties necessary to ensuring the smooth running of the stores, such as assisting guest, restocking shelves, ensuring the cleanliness of the store, etc.

Minimum Skills Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School is required;
• Completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma is an asset;
• At least one (1) year of work experience in a retail sales or retail service position is required;
• Halal Knowledge is strongly preferred;
• Prior supervisory experience in a supermarket or grocery store is an asset;
• Fluency in written and verbal English is required;
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Must be responsible, organized, a team player and have good time management skills.
