Location: 14 JACKSONVILLE DR, Brampton, ON L6P 2Z3

Salary: 25.00 to 27.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 35 to 40 hours per Week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment; Full time; Day, Evening, Morning, Night, Overtime, Weekend

Start date: Starts as soon as possible.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: Will train

Responsibilities/Tasks: Load and unload goods; Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes; Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment; Pay and receive payments for goods; Perform brake adjustments; Perform emergency roadside repairs; Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle; Perform preventive maintenance; Receive and relay information to central dispatch; Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption; Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Credentials: Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses; AZ class license

Experience and specialization: Documentation knowledge; Accident or incident reports; Driver logbook; Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) ; Maintenance and repair reports

Type of trucking and equipment: Dump truck; Tractor-trailer

Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment; Trip recorder (on-board computer)

Transportation/travel experience: Local; Short-haul

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding

Sitting.
