Responsibilities
Tasks

1. Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services
2. Assess requirements of an establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased
3. Develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased
4. Negotiate offers from suppliers
5. Consult with suppliers
6. Hire, train and supervise staff
7. Review quotations
8. Determine contract terms and conditions
9. Award contracts to appropriate parties
10. Establish delivery schedules
11. Monitor progress of delivery schedules
12. Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems
13. Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization
14. Provide customer service
15. Internal audit
