Salary: $17.00/hour

Term of employment: Full-time (30 hours to 40 hours per week) and permanent position

Benefits: 

• 2 weeks paid vacation,
• round trip transportation cost to the work location in Canada at the beginning of their work, and to return to the country of residence at the end of the work period,

Pho Ly – Vietnamese Noodle & Rice House is situated at 2401 Trans-Canada Hwy, Salmon Arm, BC. Our restaurant offers a cozy and welcoming ambiance, ideal for a leisurely meal. The interior design is simple yet charming, adorned with traditional Vietnamese décor that transports you to the streets of Hanoi.

We are currently looking for two Kitchen helpers to join to our dedicated team. The ideal candidate should be capable of multitasking.

These vacancies are open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, newcomers, refugees, youths, and others.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables,
• Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units,
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs,
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment,
• Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas,
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash, sharpen kitchen knives,
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit.

Qualifications:

• Highschool completion
• Previous experience in a kitchen setting is an asset,
• Ability to walk and stand for long period,
• Willing to work flexible hours and during weekends.
