Summary:

Sushi Royal Tokyo is a Japanese-style restaurant located in the heart of Kamloops. We’ve been open since 2015 and are known in the local area for great, quality sushi and Japanese fare. We offer dine-in, take-out, and delivery, and to maintain our busy volumes, we are currently seeking a passionate Restaurant Manager to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth restaurant operations for front and back of house;
• Recruit, train, and retain front and back of house staff. Create, post, and manage shift schedules;
• Oversee staff performance and address internal issues;
• Review end of day sales and labor reports;
• Process, remit, and distribute payroll payments;
• Manage overall take-away and delivery orders including account information with third-party service providers;
• Control and oversee inventory of dry goods, liquor/beverages, and office supplies;
• Manage vendor relations;
• Manage advertising, marketing, and social media profiles;
• Monitor food costs, ingredient availability, and menu pricing.

Job Requirements:

• Several years of supervisory experience in a customer service focused environment, preferably in a restaurant setting;
• Completion of college or other post-secondary education;
• Must be able to communicate in English;
• Must have excellent customer service skills, and is able to present themselves professionally; and
• Experience or knowledge with Japanese cuisine preferred.

Compensation:

• $72,800 – $75,000 annual salary
