Responsibilities

The Front Office Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the standards of all guest services offered by the Hotel, with the main responsibility in the Front Office, including Front Desk, Bell Desk and Concierge Desk.  The Front Office Supervisor contributes to the success of the Hotel by performing the following duties: 

·      Reporting to the Front Office Manager (FOM). Act as Manager on duty in the absence of the FOM.

·      Assisting in leading the Front Desk department, including staff orientation, training and development, SOP implementation and reviews of team members to ensure consistency in providing exceptional guest service and compliance with Front Office procedures.

·      Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operation of the Bell/Valet Staff to ensure smooth handling of guest luggage, deliveries, and special requests.

·      Checking in guest in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible.

·      Checking out guest at end of stay. Ascertains guest satisfaction, collects keys, posts late charges, and presents bill to guest. Settles bill accurately through credit card or cash transaction.

·      Understanding and updating the team on all details of any changes to special promotional programs.

·      Resolving customer complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assisting customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.

·      Responding to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guest will be in person and by phone.

·      Maintaining a balanced float assigned by the hotel. Making change and exchanges foreign currency. Reconciles all transactions at the end of each shift.

·      Working harmoniously and professionally with colleagues and supervisors.

·      Accepting reservations, changes, and cancellations in the absence of Reservations Department colleague. Answering guest calls and directs them appropriately in the absence of a Reservations Agent.

·      Providing basic trouble-shooting support for in-room services such as Internet, TV movies, games, and Web service.

·      Working closely with Bell/Door Team to ensure smooth handling of guest luggage, deliveries, and special requests.

·      Performing same duties as workers supervised as mentioned above.

·      Assisting clients/guests with special needs.

·      Co-ordinating, assigning and reviewing work.

·      Ensuring smooth operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work.

·      Establishing work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments.

·      Hiring and training staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.

·      Requisition materials and supplies.

·      Resolving work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports.
