Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $22.00~$25.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 1020 Ridgeway Avenue, Coquitlam, BC V3J 1S5

Job Duties:

• Monitor children to identify any indications of possible learning or behavioral issues and create reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
• Oversee and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
• Engage in leading activities such as storytelling, reading, teaching songs, and organizing outings to nearby places of interest for children
• Support early childhood educators in implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• Provide guidance and assistance to children as they learn and develop appropriate eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
• Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children

Job requirements:

• Experience: Experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset.
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required.
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
• Language: English
