Food Service Supervisor
J & Y Sohn Enterprises Ltd. dba Sehmi Japanese Restaurant in Port Alberni, BC is looking for a skilled and experienced Full-time Food Service Supervisor.
Conditions
- Position: Food Service Supervisor (Full-time, Permanent Position)
- Wage: $18.50 – $20.00/hour (wage to be determined depend on experience and skills)
- Working hours: 30-40 hours per week
- Ability to do shift work (daytime, evenings, weekends and holidays)
- Vacation: 10 paid vacation per year or 4% gross salary
- Benefits: Free meals, tips
- Position Available: 1
Requirements
- Completion of secondary school
- 2-3 years of experience in food preparation or service OR Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline is required.
- Language: English is required

Job Duties
- Supervise and coordinate activities of restaurant staff.
- Prepare food order summaries for kitchen staffs.
- Establish work schedule.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
- Estimate and order supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Perform cashier’s or server’s duty such as taking orders and processing payments if it needs.
