We are looking for a Finance Officer for our clients. You will be reporting to the head office address 5150 Spectrum Way, Mississauga, ON L4W 5G2, Canada. However, you will be required to work at various locations across the region.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.

  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.

  • Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents.

  • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements.

  • Calculate, analyze, and report on National Volume Discounts (NVD) as stipulated in supplier/distributor contracts.

  • Ensure timely closure of rebate plans to meet monthly and quarterly deadlines.

  • Collaborate with national purchasing managers to interpret and execute contract financials accurately.

  • Evaluate financial risks, prepare forecasts, financing scenarios, and other documents related to capital management, and generate reports.

  • Plan short- and long-term cash flows and evaluate financial performance.

  • Develop, implement, and utilize tools for managing and analyzing financial portfolios.

  • Generate regular risk profiles for debt portfolios.

  • Follow up with suppliers regarding inquiries or disputes, providing analyses and supporting documentation for billing disputes.

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills.

  • May perform other duties reasonably assigned.

 

Prerequisites:

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience

Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience

Language: English

 

Hourly Rate: $ 25 to $ 35 per Hour for 30 to 40 hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
