Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $20~$22/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 103-3200 Westwood St Port Coquitlam V3C 6C7

Job Duties:

• Create and implement child-care programs
• Lead activities by reading or narrating stories and provide opportunities for creative expression
• Plan and maintain a setting that promotes children's well-being
• Evaluate the children's skills, interests, and needs and talk to parents and other staff members about any issues that arise
• Keep an eye out for potential behavioral or learning problems in children
• Help children develop proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other providers working with children
• Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs
• Oversee and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educator assistants

Job requirements:

• Experience: Experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
• Language: English
