We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team.
About the position:
The ideal candidate for the position will develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Location of Work: You will work on site at 941 Rutherford Road, L6A 1S2
Main duties:
· Ensure healthy, safe, and secure environment and comply with the daycare center regulations;
· Assist ECE during classes and in implementing child-care programs and activities;
· Consult with management, ECE, and parents to plan appropriate programs for students.
· Prepare fun and engaging programs for introducing and preserving Jewish values and traditions.
· Conduct surveys and research to design programs that promote combined physical, mental, emotional, and social development of students.
· Bathe, change, and feed children aged 0-6.
· Present, reinforce, and reward proper dressing, eating, and sanitary habits for students.
· Assist ECE in designing and participating in activities such as Circle Time, Drama time, Block-Building, storytelling and music appreciation, Arts and Crafts, and Science and Sensory.
· Promote creativity and introduce opportunities to use cooperative, imaginative play.
· Carefully monitor students for potential learning or behavioural problems and learning disabilities.
· Prepare written observation on students’ behavior.
· Provide alternative programs and constructive feedback to ensure that children receive all necessary guidance in and outside of classroom.
· Prepare snacks and arrange rooms and furniture.
· Maintain daycare supplies and equipment on daily basis.
· Carry out instructions of ECE in their absence.
Job requirements and qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree related to Education or Early Childhood Education is required.
· Experience with Special Needs children: physical disability, mental health disability, behaviour issues, and/or learning disabilities is required.
· 1-2 years of experience in a similar position (ages 1 to 6)
· Thorough knowledge of Middle East Culture and traditions (ASSET)
· Other languages, such as Hebrew will be an asset (ASSET)
· Responsibility, leadership, positive thinking, patience, and attentiveness are tantamount.

Terms of employment:
Salary : CAD 20 hour, 30 hours/weekly
