Bridges Childcare & Learning Center Inc. located at 19109 59 Ave, Surrey BC V3S 7M9 is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Educator to join our team starting March 15, 2026 on a permanent, full-time basis.
 

The Early Childhood Educator plays an important role in supporting families within our community and fostering the healthy growth and development of our children. The ECE is responsible for creating a stimulating, nurturing and safe learning space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
  • Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits

 

Qualifications:

·       Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate

·       College diploma in Early Childhood Education

·       First Aid Certification

·       7 months+ of experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $29.50 per hour, 30 hours per week (base pay $23.50 + $6.00 per hour BC Government Wage Enhancement)
  • Sick Leave: 5 paid days annually
  • Vacation: 2 weeks annually
