Job summary:

We are Rainbow Lake’s longest serving plaza offering the best services for the local community as well as tourists to the area. Our premises are host to a hotel, bar, liquor store, and grocery store. We are currently looking for a cook to add to our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for preparing and cooking complete dishes according to the standardized menus of the restaurant.

Responsibilities and Duties:

– Prepare ingredients and cook complete dishes according to recipes set out for the cafeteria lunch and brunch menus.

– Inspect food ingredients and notify any deficiencies if any.

– Oversee kitchen helpers in maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen.

– Ensure that food and meals are handled and stored properly in their designated areas.

– Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.

– Assist in ordering and receiving food ingredients, kitchen equipment and supplies as needed

– Other reasonable assigned duties.

Qualifications:

– Min 1 year of experience in a similar role.

– Completion of high school is required.

– Completion of culinary art program is a bonus.

– Multitasking skills and time management skills.

– Organized, team player, attention to details

– Ability to work with minimum supervision.

– Ability to stand for extended periods, lift, and carry up to 40lbs.
