Job details:

Location:  421001, Range Rd 261, Ponoka, AB T4J 1R3

Salary: $20.00 hourly for 40 to 50 hours/week

Vacancies: 2 vacancies

Start date: As soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

On the road: Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Work setting: Rural area; Various locations; Catering firm

 

Responsibilities

Tasks: Determine the size of food portions and costs; Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization; Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods; Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef; Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food; Order supplies and equipment; Supervise kitchen staff and helpers; Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment; Clean kitchen and work areas; Organize buffets and banquets; Food safety/handling skills; Provide advice in the area of food preparation and storage, and food safety; Slice cooked meats

 

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Food Safety Certificate

Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is not available
