Duties:
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to food prep, food assembly, cooking, plating and garnishing.
• Must have the ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment, including expertise in stone deck/ high temperature oven for pizza preparation.
• Follow recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning and cooking, tasting, and serving food products.
• Prepare ingredients by following recipes slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping and mixing ingredients; adding seasoning, verifying taste.
• Complete meal preparation by verifying doneness and taste; assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients, working with specialized cooking equipment (stone deck/high temperature oven).
• Control costs by adhering to recipes, following preparation standards.
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen by adhering to the provincial and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes, as well as cleaning equipment.
• Clean and inspect kitchen and work areas to ensure a high level of cleanliness.
• Operate kitchen equipment by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive and cleaning maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, estimate food requirements and costs and order them as needed.
• Communicate with co-workers and follow set of cooking instructions.
