Todai Japanese restaurant ltd., dba Sushi Kumo located in North Vancouver, BC is looking for permanent and full time cooks.
Job Position: Cook(NOC 63200)
Number of Openings: 2
Language at Work: English
Duties/Responsibilities:
– Prepare various types of Japanese foods including tempura, soup, grills and other Japanese dishes
– Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
– Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, grills, and roasters
– Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
– Oversee kitchen operations
– Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
– Train and supervise kitchen helpers and less experienced cooks
Requirements:
– Completion of secondary school is required.
– 3 or more years of commercial cooking experience is required.
– Sushi Preparation Skill is required
Term of employment: Full-time (40 hours per week), Permanent
Wage: $17.65 – $18.50 per hour
Vacation: 4% of salary as vacation pay
Working Location: 180 2ND ST E, North Vancouver, British Columbia, V7L 1C3
