Education

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years in dental assisting

Experience

Minimum 5 year of experience in dental assisting or dental health care

Key Responsibilities

• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Polish teeth and clinical crowns; apply fluoride and dental sealants
• Take digital X-rays, Cone Beam CT scans, panoramic and cephalometric X-rays.
• Perform digital scans using iTero and Primescan
• Assist in procedures such as endodontics (RCT), implants, periodontal surgeries, and orthodontics 
• Provide treatment explanations and obtain patient consent prior to procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care

Skills and Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant registered with BCCOHP.
• Proficient in using dental instruments and equipment
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and dedication to delivering excellent patient care.

Wage

– $36 – $42 hourly (based on experience and skill)

– Vacation pay
