Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $20.00~$24.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 3440 Boundary Road, Burnaby, BC V5M 4A5

Job Duties:

• Help early childhood educators implement programs that enhance the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children
• Engage in storytelling sessions for children
• Support early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
• Engage children in activities by sharing stories, teaching songs, and organizing crafts
• Guide and assist children in developing healthy eating, dressing, and toilet habits
• Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
• Prepare snacks and set up rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
• Observe children for potential signs of learning or behavioral issues and create reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
• Provide written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
• Participate in staff meetings to discuss the progress and challenges of children
• Create and maintain an environment that ensures the health, safety, and well-being of children

Job requirements:

• Experience: 1~2 years of experience in childcare is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E.A Certificate
• Language: English
