Job Information:

– Position: Apprentice Cook
– Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time
– Wage: $17.62 – $20.00 per hour (to be negotiated)
– Working Hours: 30-40 hours per week
– Vacancy: 2
– Work Location: 7617 Edmonds St, Burnaby, BC V3N 1B6
Benefits:
– 4% of salary for vacation remuneration or 10 days of paid vacation.
Job Duties:
– Prepare and make various types of sushi, sashimi, roll sushi, salad, and combination sushi.
– Oversee kitchen operations
– Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for special rolls.
– Prepare and make different kinds of sauces for sushi on the menu.
– Clean the kitchen and the work areas thorougly
– Ensure kitchen is clean and sanitized
– May train kitchen helpers by providing training such as prepping ingredients
Job Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school is required.
Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience as a cook OR completion of a three-years apprenticeship program, college orother programs in cooking or food safety is required.
