MA’S SUSHI RESTAURANT is the only fresh sushi restaurant in Warman.  We always make your meal fresh for the best taste and quality. We provide dining in, taking out, or delivery service. You can order online, by phone, or email us. Our staff is hospitable; our service is professional; our price is reasonable; our atmosphere is calm; and our foods are healthy. As we are getting more customers these days, we are looking for an experienced cook to ensure and maintain a smooth daily operation and high-quality dishes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and  cook sushi, working extensively with fish, rice, and vegetables using traditional preparation methods

Coordinate with our wait staff to ensure proper cooking, considering special requests and food allergies

Estimate food requirements and costs

Inspect kitchens and food service areas

Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

Order supplies and equipment

Supervise kitchen staff and helpers

Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed

Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean your space at the end of the shift

Recruit and hire staff

Manage kitchen operations

Skills & Qualifications:

At least 1 year of kitchen experience at an Asian restaurant

A quick learner,  willing to learn various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques

Ability to work both fast and accurately

Intermediate knife skill

Team player

Availability to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings

Flexibility to take on various shifts

Certification from a culinary school is a plus
