Our company is currently looking for experienced Skilled Woodworking (Veneering) machine operators – to join our company and implement the experience.

Position Responsibilities & Main Duties

•               Knowledge of wood veneer matching techniques (book matching, slip matching, sequence matching, random matching)

•               Experience in operating wood veneering machinery (veneer guillotines, veneer splicers)

•               Ability to use measurements tools including tape measures, vernier calipers. Ability to lay-up veneer face to desired dimensions and leaf widths

•               Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces.

•               Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions.

•               May clean and lubricate equipment and replace parts as necessary.

•               Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surface.

•               Observe equipment, panel indicators, video monitors, and other instruments to detect malfunctions and ensure that processes are operating according to specifications

•               Start up, shut down, set up, adjust and assist in maintaining processing equipment and machines as required

•               Complete and maintain production reports.

• Required Qualifications & Experience 

– Minimum High School diploma 

– Fluent English

– A minimum of 3 years of experience as a wood machine operator

– comprehensive knowledge and experience working on veneer wood machine is a must

Working schedule is Monday to Friday from 08:00am to 4:00 pm with a 30-minutes lunch break.

The compensation is 20,50 – 23,00 CAD per hour
