A tire technician plays a crucial role in ensuring vehicle safety and performance by inspecting, repairing, and replacing tires.

Qualifications:

*Experience is an asset

*Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

or equivalent experience

Skills and Core Competencies:

*Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy tires, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.

*Attention to Detail: Ability to inspect tires for damage, tread wear, and other issues, ensuring quality and safety.

*Willing to Learn: Adaptability: Ability to quickly grasp new techniques, procedures, and technologies in tire service.

*Time Management: Efficient organization of learning tasks to maximize productivity and meet job requirements promptly.

Job Duties:

• Add or replace hydraulic and transmission fluids
• Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed
• Change engine oil and lubricate running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks or heavy equipment
• Grease booms, pulleys, buckets and other components of heavy equipment
• Install replacement mufflers, exhaust pipes, shock absorbers or radiators
• Provide on-site services
• Repair and balance tires
• Replace oil, air and fuel filters on motor vehicles, trucks and heavy equipment
