Okanagan Custom Tile Installations is located at 2210 horizon drive suite 14, West Kelowna, British Columbia. We are an incredibly diversified tiling company in West Kelowna and now hiring experienced tile installers.

Employer: Okanagan Custom Tile Installations LTD.

Position: Full-time Tile Installer (73101 – Tilesetters)

Main Duties:

– Apply tiles to walls, floors, ceilings, and promenade road decks, following design specification

– Prepare, measure, mark the surface, and cut tiles & marble to be covered.

– Arrange tiles according to design plans.

– Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand towel.

– Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power-cutting tolls.

– Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.

– Install tiles and marble in a planned area.

– Wipe off excess grout and apply necessary finishes, such as sealants.  

– Position tiles and tap them with a trowel handle to affix tiles to plaster or adhesive base.

Requirement:

-Education: Completion of secondary school is required. Completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program is an asset.

Experience: Over 3 years of work experience in tile setting is required.  

Wage: $26.00 ~ $28.00 per hour

Working Condition: 30-40 hours a week and 4% of gross income for paid vacation per year
