Position Info:

• Position: Project Accountant
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $39.90~$42.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 301-4180 Lougheed Highway, Burnaby, BC V5C 6A7

Job Duties:

• Set up and administration of the Company accounting systems (Sage 300 and TimberScan) and preparing financial information for departments within organizations (project manager and purchasing department), project clients and other project stakeholders
• Examination of all project accounting records and preparation of financial statements, billing reports, project commitments and projections
• Development and maintenance of the cost findings, reporting and internal control procedures
• Analyzing of financial statements and reports and providing financial and operational advice based on your findings
• Tracking pending invoices and managing the Accounts Payable mailbox
• Assisting Financial Controller with month-end and year-end closing and preparing working papers and schedules
• Collaborating with other teams as required to answer queries and resolve issues
• Training other project accountants and administrative and accounting assistants

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2-3 years of related experience are required
• Education: A university degree or completion of a professional training program is required
• Language: English
