Position Info:

• Position: Head chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $31.00~$33.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 1-612 Head Street, Victoria, BC V9A 5S8

Job Duties:

• Recruit and hire, and provide instruction to employees on the techniques and procedures involved in food preparation, cooking, and food handling
• Create new recipes and develop menus and guarantee that the food meets established quality standards
• Teach cooks the fundamentals of food preparation, cooking techniques, garnishing, and food presentation
• Estimate the necessary food quantities, as well as the costs for food and labor, and analyze operating expenses and other relevant data
• Oversee the operations conducted by sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 2~3 years work experience as a chef is required.
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
