Sheng House Furnishings has been a strong contender in the furniture business since 2010 starting with our first location in Esterhazy. We quickly became the "Go to" store in that area, we were filling a niche that was not being met. We also branched out into other lines like safety apparel, work boots and appliances to further fill the needs of that community. The next step was to open our location in Yorkton which was in 2017. As a boutique style business we pride ourselves on providing a relaxed atmosphere, stellar customer service, a strong product line with trusted names and reputations as well as a solid warranty policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Box or parcel purchases for customers at store or for shipment and delivery to customers
Carry customers' purchases to parking lot and pack in vehicles
Unpack products received by store and count, or sort items
Use barcode scanning equipment to record incoming stock, verify pricing and maintain computerized stock inventory
Price items using stamp or stickers according to price list
Attach protective devices to products to protect against shoplifting
Stock shelves and display areas and keep stock clean and in order
Label and document orders, and prepare shipping, customs and courier documentation when required
Obtain articles for customers from stockroom
Direct customers to location of articles sought and assist with inquiries
Enter, track and process customer orders and generate inventory reports
May operate carts, dollies, forklifts, hand trucks, order pickers and other powered industrial trucks (PIT)
May sweep aisles, dust display items and perform other general cleaning duties
May operate cash register and computer for electronic commerce transactions
May order stock.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Not required but preferred, Will train
Licence ( such as forklift licence) : Not required but will train if needed
Completion of secondary school
Ability to work in a team and autonomously
Ability to carry Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
