Nature of Employment: We are presently looking to fill two (2) permanent, full-time positions at 51 Escandar Drive, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M4G 4C5
 

Hours: 30 hours per week
 

Salary: $27.00 per hour

Job Summary:

The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing deliveries coming into our Toronto superstore, including meat, dry goods, and produce items. The Receiving Supervisor works with every department at our Toronto superstore in order to oversee and verify the incoming goods, create an accurate weekly inventory, and keep track of stock.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for scheduling and overseeing shipments and receiving processes for the Iqbal Foods superstore;
• Directing and overseeing employees responsible for receiving, stocking, organizing, and distributing products within the stock area;  
• Creating and preparing work schedules for employees;
• Training new employees on company policies and procedures, receiving and shipping processes, and health and safety regulations;
• Ensuring that all products meet the legal requirements on expiry dates and quality standards;
• Communicating information regarding delivery details and return policies to other employees;
• Co-ordinating with employees from different departments to ensure that received products are being brought out onto the aisles within a timely and organized manner;
• Assigning the appropriate unloading docks for arriving delivery trucks;
• Verifying and matching the received products with the product list invoice;
• Conducting quality checks on the received products and identifying expired or incorrectly shipped goods;
• Tracking missing products in the invoice and deducting the appropriate amounts from the total value of shipments;
• Generating and submitting return forms for damaged or expired products from deliveries;
• Monitoring and recording inventory levels in the stock area;
• Preparing and providing weekly stock reports for procurement purposes; and
• Other duties as required.

Minimum Skills Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School is required;
• Completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field  is an asset;
• At least six (6) months of work experience in receiving shipments and organizing inventory is required;
• Prior supervisory experience in a supermarket or grocery store is an asset;
• Good working knowledge and proficiency with the following programs is required:
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook);
• Must be responsible, organized, a team player and have good time management skills.
