The Metropolitan Tea Company is looking to hire two (2) permanent full-time Production Supervisors: Below are the details:

Job Title: Production Supervisor

No. of Positions: 2

Salary: 27 per hour

Hours: 40 per week

Location: 41 Butterick Road Suite A, Etobicoke, ON, Canada, M8W 4W4

Job duties and responsibilities are:

  • Following company’s quality standardsand production schedule, overseeing the evening shift production team to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing products, including loose tea products, tea bagproducts, customproduct, and accessories.
  • Monitoringproduct quality throughout the production process, conducting regular inspectionsand comparing woith standard samples, ensure food safety compliance policies are followedsuch as FSSC 22000, organic regulations, SFCR/FSMA, C-TPAT, Kosher, and implementing corrective actions to maintain consistent quality standards.
  • Coordinating with the inventory department to ensure adequate rawmaterials and ingredients are available for production, minimizingstock shortages and excess inventory, and reducing material waste.
  • Enforcing safety protocols andprocedures tocreate a safe working environment for employees, to ensure company safety polices are followed, and to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Supervising and leadingthe production team and providing training to productionstaff on operating machinery (vacuumpacking, twinkle machine and sortex machine), safety policies, work orders, productfeatures, and maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards
  • Scheduling and overseeing regular maintenance of production equipment including vacuum packaging machine, twinkle tea bag machine (EMS and TBP), sortex machine, toreduce machine down time.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements, and providing solutions to optimize production processes and solve bottlenecks.
  • Actingas a liaison between production staff, warehouse team, day shift team, and other departments to ensure efficient and sufficient communication and coordination of activities in the factory.
  • Keeping detailed records of production output, quality control checks, inventory levels, and any incidents or issuesthat ariseduringproduction.

Requirements:

Senior Secondary Education

1-2 years of related experience
