MI Petro Construction & Supply, of Calgary, Alberta, requires one (1) full-time Petroleum Construction and Equipment Foreman to perform the following at various locations in Calgary and extensively in other western Canadian regions:
Job details:
NOC: 7301 – foreman/woman equipment assembly
Location: 4330-116 t Ave SE, Calgary, AB, T2Z 3Z9
Salary: $39.00/hour
Vacancies: One (1) Vacancy

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time 38 to 50 hours / week
Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Requirements:
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 5+ years of experience in the Petroleum Installation Industry
Certified Petroleum Technician PM2 and PM3 by the Canadian Petroleum Contractors Association
Must be able to interpret the relevant standards and regulations of the petroleum industry (MI Petro will evaluate this ability with an interview)
Work Location Information: On-site. Extensive travel throughout Western Canada, various locations.
The successful applicant must be willing to spend 1-3 weeks at a time away from home on a construction site
Personal Suitability: Reliability, Excellent written communication, Dependability, Accurate, Excellent oral communication, Team player
Equipment and Machinery experience:
Must be knowledgeable to use and or supervise the use of relevant hand tools, the strength and confidence such as: pipe wrenches pipe cutters, ratcheting pipe threader’s, drills, angle grinders, power drills, etc.
KPS Petro Pipe System Certified Technician
Franklin Fuel System Certified Technician
Experience in installing OPW and KPS pipes \
Welding experience with high safety concern
Additional Skills: Highly safety orientated you will be working with petroleum
Specific Skills: Co-ordinate, schedule, and plan jobs in consultation with company management
Supervise and lead team on job sites
Sign off on drawings
Lead installation of fuel pump dispensers, piping, and storage tanks
(above and underground)
Lead removal of fuel pump dispensers, piping, and storage tanks
Read and interpret blueprints
Lead removal and installation of suction pumps, dispensers and fuelling
systems
Lead removal and installation of submersible pumps
Perform leak detection, fault finding and other quality assurance
Lead installation of tank monitoring systems
Lead fuel pump dispenser maintenance and repair
Ensure safety standards are being always followed
Participate in training new employees
Recommend promotions, raises, dismissal, etc. to company
management
Advise company management on materials and supply requisition
