Peaked Pies is looking for a full-time Food Service Supervisor.

Position Info:

• Position: Food Service Supervisor
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $23.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 h0urs/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 975 Denman Street, Vancouver, BC V6G 2M3

Job Duties:

• Oversee and direct the activities of staff involved in food preparation, portioning, and serving
• Follow up on large pre-orders to ensure all members of staff are informed
• Establish efficient work schedules for employees to optimize kitchen and hall operations
• Ensure that food and customer service quality meet established high standards
• Estimate and order necessary cooking and baking ingredients and supplies and supplies required for meal preparation
• Monitor stock and requisition kitchen supplies to ensure Peaked Pies is able to produce them in a safe and timely manner
• Maintain detailed records of food inventory, costs, sales, waste, and equipment repairs
• Assist with staff hiring and scheduling, and conduct a weekly meeting with Shift supervisors and cooks
• Train new and existing staff in job duties, company policies, sanitation and safety procedures
• Promote a team atmosphere by motivating and encouraging staff and running each shift with precision
• Conduct performance reports and performance management when necessary
• Address and resolve customers’ complaints, concerns, and supervise work-related issue

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 1~2 years of experience in food preparation or service are required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
