Responsibilities
Tasks
1. Supervise professional and support staff and students
2. Perform administrative tasks
3. Plan development projects
4. Develop venture capital sources
5. Respond to enquiries from members of the business community concerning development opportunities
6. Provide advice on procedures and requirements for government approval of development proposals
7. Conduct comparative research on marketing strategies for industrial and commercial products
8. Prepare reports, research papers, educational texts or articles
9. Answer written and oral inquiries
10. Assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters and other material
11. Co-ordinate special publicity events and promotions
12. Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys
13. Develop and organize workshops, meetings, ceremonies and other events for publicity, fundraising and information purposes
14. Develop, implement and evaluate communication strategies and programs
15. Gather, research and prepare communications material
16. Initiate and maintain contact with the media
17. Prepare and/or deliver educational, publicity and information programs, materials and sessions
18. Prepare or oversee preparation of reports, briefs, bibliographies, speeches, presentations, Website content and press releases
19. Provide consulting services to government and other organizations
20. Conduct analytical marketing studies
21. Conduct social or economic surveys on local, regional, or international areas to assess the development of potential and future trends
22. Review and evaluate commercial or industrial development proposals
23. Design market research questionnaires
24. Develop portfolio of marketing materials
25. Design, conduct and analyze quantitative and qualitative research projects
26. Develop feasibility studies
27. Conduct online marketing, E-commerce and Website promotions
28. Develop marketing strategies
29. Ensure appropriate business/commercial licenses are in place
30. Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops or symposia
31. Develop and implement business plans
32. Maintain and manage digital database
33. Supervise office and volunteer staff
