Wages:                       $35.00 per hour, 30-44 hours a week

Shifts:                         Weekdays 40-44 hrs per week.

CMI is currently looking for a Manufacturing Technologist to join their team based out of Stevensville Ontario.  The Manufacturing Technologist will be mainly responsible to provide technical support and services in the continual development of production and systems, as well as the planning, estimating, measuring and scheduling of work at the facilities.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and conduct production, inventory and quality assurance measures in manufacturing and fabrication;
  • Assist with changes in plant layouts and fabrication lines;
  • Develop applications using CAD/CAM (computer-assisted drafting, computer-assisted manufacturing) for the control of machinery, robots, computer numerical control (CNC) machines and other manufacturing processes and operations;
  • Develop and carry out industrial health, safety and fire prevention plans and programs and conduct safety training programs;
  • Develop and carry out work study and related programs.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

·       Completion of a two- or three-year college program or equivalent in engineering, or, at least two (2) years’ experience in the industry would be an asset.

·       Work independently without close supervision

·       Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work.

·       Ability to interact with people effectively and in a professional manner.

·       Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
