Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Maintenance worker for building. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within our commercial building, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for occupants, visitors, and staff. This role involves a combination of routine cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and a commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Sanitizing:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain a tidy environment.
- Sanitize and disinfect surfaces, common areas, and restrooms regularly.
- Empty and clean waste receptacles, and dispose of trash in accordance with established procedures.
Floor Maintenance:
- Operate floor-cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers, to maintain clean and polished floors.
- Monitor and report any damage or issues with flooring to the appropriate personnel.
Restroom Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize restroom facilities, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors.
- Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
Minor Maintenance:
- Address minor maintenance issues, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and reporting larger maintenance concerns to the appropriate authorities.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and report maintenance needs.
Security and Safety:
- Monitor the building for security purposes and report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other building staff to ensure a seamless and efficient cleaning schedule.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a janitor or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
- Basic maintenance skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy objects.
- Comfortable standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals.
Working Hours: This is a full-time position with. Some flexibility in schedule may be required based on building needs.
