Trillium Recycling is a diversified recycling company located in Ajax Ontario, and specializing in wood pallet recycling services. For many years, Trillium has been supplying the local market with reliable products in a timely manner exceeding their client expectations.

We are currently looking for a Truck Driver to join our team based out of Ajax Ontario.  Our Truck Drivers provide short-haul and local transportation of products to and from our plant to meet Operational requirements and client demand.

The successful Truck Driver will operate straight trucks and cube vans to transport goods and materials to our recycling plant in Ajax Ontario.   

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Operate and drive primarily cube vans and straight trucks to transport goods and materials mainly on local routes and short interurban routes;

·      Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, and loading and unloading of cargo;

·      Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and management staff using on-board communication devices;

·      Ensure materials/cargo are secured properly.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

·      Must have a valid Truck Driver’s License OR a valid D class Ontario Driver’s License;

·      Completion of a relevant driver training course in an asset;

·      Any basic vehicle mechanic or repair training is preferred;

·      Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
