Job Description:

Position: Landscaper

Positions available: 1

Work Hours:  40 hours per week

Wage: $24.00/hour

Language of work: English

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Work Location: 3520 40th Street, Delta BC V4K 3N2, Canada

Job benefits: As per law

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Assisting with various types of installations including, but not limited to excavation, drainage, paving stones (concrete and stone), retaining walls (concrete and stone), poured concrete prep, natural & artificial grass, soil, planting.
• Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses, and other purposes.
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens.
• Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens.
• Garden & lawn maintenance for commercial, residential, and strata clients.
• Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products.
• Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions.
• Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease
• Plant and move trees.
• Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.

Requirements for the job:

• Completion of secondary school.
• Previous work experience in the same or a related job position is an asset.
• Physical demanding: bending crouching and kneeling, ability to lift up to 23 kg
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Repetitive tasks.
• Handling heavy loads.
• Physically demanding.
• Manual dexterity.
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
• Standing for extended periods.
